Happy Aftermath and TGIF to all of you!

Okay be honest...who is going out shopping today? Not I for sure...I am going to Joshua. We could not get there for the Solstice like we do every year because Jeff has been working everyday since James had surgery. Yesterday was the first day he has taken off since Thanksgiving!

So how was your holiday? Did you all survive? We want to hear!!!!

I just have to say about my holiday....OMG had to be the best one I have ever had...those grandbabies of mine made it unforgetable! Ava is already a speed demon on her Barbie ATV...I only wish I could have found it in Hello Kitty, but Barbie is a second best! Hunter is not sure yet....I will post pics when I find my camera....I think I left it over at my son's house.

Second best gift today was having all my family together and everyone getting along. My younger son and his wife even came to his brothers house even though he said he was not going to because he does not care for his brothers in laws. It all worked out and I am telling you....nee nee is a happy camper!

Well it is blowing like crazy here in the desert and it woke me up, but I am going to go and grab some more shut eye I think!!!

Be safe out there today...those shoppers are a mean hurd of peeps!!!

PEACE OUT!!!!! Biker Babe

p.s. third best thing yesterday...after everyone left my house and before I went to my son's Jeff, our friend Greg and I took all the Christmas stuff down...it never looked like Christmas was here....YIPPIE!!!! My house is clean!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Guys and Gals!

Christmas was great.  Today is the great clean-up!  I like Janine am going back to bed after this.  We got a little snow last night, and boy is it freezing this morning.  I went to bed last night at like 7:00 I was so tired from all the cooking and preparing.  I think the glass of wine I had, had a little to do with the early bed time too.  It was nice to have a little quiet last night after having all the teens and neighbors over.  Got to spend about an hour with my neighbor who is sick and we just chatted and had a wonderful time, got to send her a plate of food over and that made her very happy!  She loves my cooking for some reason.  I think it is because she didn't have to cook!  lol.  Well today we are just going to clean up and find places for Santa's gifts.  I am getting tired so off to bed I go again.  Everyone have a wonderful day and don't work to hard.

Good Morning Janine & Everyone,
For me Christmas didnt much seem like Christmas. Working in the morning just made it weird. Doing everything after work was weird. Oh well gotta pay the bills. I work today too, but have the weekend off. I love spending time with my family, but hope I can find some time for me. I think they expect me to spend the whole weekend with them, but I need me time. Also I can only take my dad so long, lol.
As for shopping dont have to worry about it since I am working. I do need to go to the grocery store to try to get some fresh cranberries since everyone decided after the nuts and fudge I can bring things in for New Years Day too. I dont mind, love baking and dont have to worry about eating it!!
Oh well off to get ready for work, wish I could go back to bed!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Be good to yourselves and those around you!!

Good Morning Calif.........

I worked yesterday, but it was a nice slow day and I was able to get everything done. Today I hope we are little busy, but lets not over do it. I still like relaxing at work. LOL

After work yesterday, I came home and picked up the ham, and headed over to my sisters house. Anut Mo and all my sister and nieces and nephews where there. We had a great time. Everyone was in good moods. And DD was able to sit up and join the fun for most of the time. (she took a fast nap for about an hour)  We eat to much, talked to much and had to much fun. Its been forever since we had the family together like that. (since dad past 4 years ago)

Today or tonight, my sister from Idaho is come out for a week. YaY!!! Its been two years since we seen her. I can't wait to see. She is going to help with DD and give me break of having to worry. I hope we can have a family lunch or dinner before she leaves. Then in about two weeks, my nieces from Idaho are coming out to help out for a long weekend.  I am sure by then, I will need a break again. LOL

OK time to do the 3 S's
Sip my coffee,
Shower
Share love with you all........

Liz......hugs and kisses to you and your family. I would kiss the boo boo on the car, but its to big....... Love you like the sister you have be came.

Good morning Janine and Cali . . . TGIF for sure . . . and I don't have to work - yea!  Home from Vegas . . . one day would have been enough . . . but my friend was happy and she is having a hard time since her husband is in a home with Altzheimers . . . we did see Terry Fator - the puppet master - and laughed OUT LOUD . . . he was hilarious!  I think he is moving to the Mirage from the Hilton . . . and saw Phantom . . . and then saw Jersey Boys two nights in a row . . . (her favorite) . . . my favorite was getting over the mountains with only rain and fog and no ice and snow on the way home yesterday!

Off to get my hip Xrayed today . . . still having issues and have to see a rhumatologist (no idea how to spell that) . . . and life goes on . . . and have to TRY to stuff some of these boxes into the recycling bin for pickup today . . . there are just to many boxes!!!

Love & Stuff to all
Chris

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

We had a nice day.  Still too early for Jordyn to get the just and like lil ones do, she used her toys in other manners then for which they were intended.  She needs something to climb all over.  She is quite the daredevil.

Everyone enjoy the day

Good Morning Janine and Cali Crew!

I had a wonderful Christmas even if it was at times melancholy for the family. It didn't prevent the joy of everyone being together but it was the first since brother Bob passed away last July and, though his spirit was there with us, we did miss his boisterous presence!

D and I hosted our annual Christmas Eve for family and friends. We asked Diane and Doug over as when we asked they had told us they just stay home on Christmas Eve. Well, D couldn't have THAT so said you are coming to our house. So we had all my family, Darrell's family and several friends here. We have a potluck and you wouldn't BELIEVE how much food there was!!! Great stuff too. My nephew's wife was pissed when she made three batches of fudge over the two days before Christmas Eve and none of them set up right. My Mom loves fudge and Mindy makes the best fudge especially for Grandma at Christmas. Mom laughed it off (at 87 she has had her share of cooking disasters!) but Mindy was so dissappointed she didn't have fudge for Grandma for Christmas. The kids (my nephew's daughter's Taylor, Madison and Samantha) got to open their presents from the Jacobsen family and were childlike thrilled. Nothing like making kids wait to open gifts and then to watch the excitement when you tell them it's time! LOL All in all a wonderful evening.

Yesterday we spent a quiet late afternoon and evening at Mom's with a lovely Christmas turkey dinner. Just Mom, brother Walter, D and I. The morning was spent returning the house to normal after the big party the evening before!

Today D had to work so I am planning a very low key day home alone for a change. Haven't a clue how I will spend my time but I think some Wii time is in order. I have a new game, Wii Music, I haven't played though the three little girls broke it in for me Christmas Eve.

What ever you do today have a great one!

Christmas was good. The service at curch was wonderful, as usual. I love being a part of the choir and being able to serve the Lord and minister to people through music. A gal in the choir brought in homemade cookies. She and her family are gluten intolerant so they use a mixture of white rice flour and brown rice flour. She also uses Stevia as a sweetener, instead of sugar or splenda. I tried one of the peanut butter cookies and they were sooo good! They were light, soft and very flavorful. The best thing though, is that I had no reaction to the Stevia and the rice flours made the cookies practically melt in your mouth.

So after Christmas service, I came home and straighted up the house before my mom got here. Dinner was good. Ham, mashed potatoes, rutabegas, green beans and rolls. Yummm!! I love the fact that sice I've had surgery, holidays aren't all about the food. It's about being together as a family and spending that quality time together. My mom got both of us gift cards for Christmas. Mine is for Target and it a flip puzzle card. It's so cool. Mattew tried to start a fight with me while my mom was here and she called him on it and when I spoke up he's like "you really want to do this now?" I looked at him and told him that he started it and he shut up. My mom left a little after 8:00pm and I went in and put some jammies on and read until about 11:00pm, then went to be. I was so tired. I'd been up since 6am, but only had about 3 hours sleep Christmas Eve. We did get to talk to Jason and he had a white Christmas in Missouri. He had a good day.

Anyway, sorry for the book. I am glad everyone's Christmas was good. Have a great day everyone!
